Victorian 0.15 Carat Old Cut Diamond Brooch, dated 1900

A stunningly intricate late Victorian brooch, crafted in 15k gold. The raised circular centre is set with a trio of bright and white old mine cut diamonds, and sits within a long marquise shaped brooch adorned with decorative gold granules and scroll detailing. It is likely that this was originally intended to be used as a mourning brooch, but the empty cavity (viewable to the back of the brooch through a clear window) shows no evidence of holding hair or other memento.
